Healthy and Shiny Hair All Summer Long!

Hey lovelies! Today's post is all about keeping your hair healthy and shiny all throughout summer! I love going outside during the summer, whether its going out to get ice cream or to the lake, it's all about having fun and trying new things for me! But it's important to make sure our hair doesn't suffer in the process! So here are some ideas to maintain healthy and shiny locks all summer long!

#1: Condition Before the Pool
Before going to the pool, spray your hair damp with water and add a conditioner to your hair. This way, your strands are saturated and when its time to jump into the water, your hair will absorb the healthy conditioner instead of damaging chlorine.

#2: Cute Shields
Try to wear a hat when outside during those really sunny days. This will keep your hair from drying from the sun, and will also look super stylish! In the summer I LOVE wearing baseball caps or floppy hats during those super hot days.

#3: Ditch the heat
Going heatless during the summer is a smart move. It will protect your hair from the damage that excessive use of curling irons, flat irons, and blow-dryers can cause! For really flattering beachy waves, braid your hair into one long french braid when it is about 80% dry. Once your hair is fully dry, take off the braid, give your hair a tousle, and you're ready to walk out the door with your effortless waves!

This summer, while making memories, make sure to keep your hair safe too. I actually have a challenge for you guys, this summer try to go at least one week without heat. Experiment with hairstyles and have fun! Post a picture of your heatless hairstyles with the hashtag: #HeatFreeHairstylesForMe. Can't wait to see what you guys post, and you're beautiful hair!

Stay Be-YOU-tiful!
